Spring Ahead

Ah... Did you enjoy the warm weekend weather? I did. I didn't enjoy losing an hour sleep, but I like it being light out later in the day!

Weekly Update:
Math - Quiz Tuesday - Section C/ Test on Friday - Chapter 4
Reading - Intro to Theme 4 - Creative Solutions
Health - Continuing with Chapter 5 - Eating Healthy

In like a Lion

Welcome to March! I guess it decided to come in like a lion and lets hope it will go out like a lamb. I do have to say that I was a little disappointed with the Problem of the Week (POW). No one tried to solve the problem and the more that I think about it I wonder why? Is it because the problem was too hard? Is is because you thought it was doing extra work? or Is it because you forgot about it? So, I've decided to have some sort of prize for the students that solve the problem correctly... I think that we will have a class meeting tomorrow regarding what you think would make it worth your time. Post your ideas to have them considered at tomorrow's meeting!

A preview to the upcoming week:
*Math - Chapter 4 - Section C - lessons 4-7, 4-8, and 4-9, a review and then we will get ready for a final quiz and a chapter test.

*Reading - We just finished theme 3 -a Look into the Past - Check out our names in Greek!

Vacation

I hope that everyone enjoys the well deserved vacation! I know that I will. I plan to read, read, read! I hope that all of you that are travelling, have a fun and safe journey!

When we get back from vacation:

Reading: We will be finishing up the last story in Theme 3 - The Skill of Pericles. It is a play - Get your acting skill ready!

I am going to try to post some pictures of your work - I would like everyone to see our names in Greek and all of the wonderful things that you are doing in class.

I hope that you all like our new class blog. I just have a couple of reminders for you.

New Idea

Hi Everyone!
I had a new idea. I wanted our class blog to be more for than just discussing our read aloud book. I have created a link to that blog. I want this blog to be more communication for parents and I will post homework reminders for you and other links that may be helpful - maybe a math link.
